Meet Tanelle Bolt
Tanelle Bolt is an accessibility advocate, adaptive athlete, and the Founder and President of RAD Recreation Adapted Society. After a free-jumping accident on August 10, 2014 left her a T6 paraplegic, Tanelle rebuilt her life around independence, outdoor recreation, and community connection. What began as a personal journey grew into a mission to show that mobility challenges do not have to mean the end of an active lifestyle.
Through her work, Tanelle supports individuals, organizations, and communities in creating more inclusive outdoor experiences. She is passionate about removing barriers to recreation and believes accessible design benefits everyone — not just those with disabilities. Her advocacy focuses on practical solutions, lived experience, and helping people explore adaptive possibilities with confidence.
As a speaker, consultant, and community leader, Tanelle collaborates with municipalities, tourism partners, recreation programs, and brands to rethink accessibility from the ground up. Through RAD Society, she has helped expand access to adaptive equipment, education, and opportunities for independent living across British Columbia and beyond.
Tanelle’s approach is rooted in authenticity, resilience, and action. She combines real-world experience with a forward-thinking perspective, helping people move beyond limitations and toward meaningful, adventurous lives. Whether speaking on stage, consulting on accessibility, or mentoring someone new to adaptive recreation, her goal remains the same: to create spaces where everyone belongs.
